Malcolm Carter II, Pastor
Malcolm Carter II is the Senior Pastor here at Temple Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he gave his life to Christ at a young age and surrendered the call to preach at 17 years old. After graduating from Victory Baptist Bible College in North Augusta, South Carolina, he began pastoring a church in Barnwell, South Carolina. In 1999, he received a call inviting him to fill-in for a church in Cullman, Alabama. He was asked to stay full-time and so began his journey at Temple Baptist Church. He also serves on the board of directors for the Timothy Initiative. Pastor Malcolm travels all over the country teaching Christians how to share their story and make disciples through DMD
(Disciples Making Disciples).
Pastor Malcolm and his wife, Tammy, have been married for 32 years. They have four daughters: Jordan (Austin) Whisnant, Rebecca (Shawn) Dehart, Brandie (Clay) Morrison, and Mackenzie (Sheridan) Miller. They have five grandchildren: Carter, Pete, Emory, Maisie, and Maverick.
When he isn’t preaching or studying, Pastor Malcolm can usually be found in the woods with his coon-hounds or out on the golf course.
"My heart for God and love for the ministry are my main motivations in life. I have witnessed God move in miraculous ways over the past 26 years as we have seen lives changed and people come to Christ here at Temple.”
